Typical profile
In a team
You bring momentum and good vibes to the team, and you dive into things others hesitate over. In new situations you quickly see what needs doing, so it's good to have you around when something unexpected comes up. So that others can count on you too, write down agreed times and details, and let people know when something changes on your side.
Studying and exam season
Studying works for you when it's varied: a new spot, a different method, short challenges. The hardest part of exam season is sticking to the plan, so set small daily goals and study with someone who'll hold you to them. If the material is boring, turn it into a game: flashcards, quizzes, racing the clock.
Under stress
It isn't surprises that stress you so much as long, monotonous stretches and tight, fussy rules. It can also pile up when several deadlines you put off land at the same time. It helps to break big tasks into short, quick rounds, and to plan something new to look forward to at the end.
Growth tips
- Use a simple calendar, and once a week look ahead at the next seven days.
- Pick one routine task and try to do it flawlessly for a week: that's a challenge too.
- Before saying yes to a new opportunity, think through what it means for your other commitments.
For your first student job
- If you can, look for varied, shorter jobs, like seasonal work, fieldwork or festival work (some festival jobs are 18+ only).
- In your first days, note down the exact rules (start time, dress code, check-in): the details count too.
- If you're running late or can't make it, tell them straight away: it helps the team and whoever makes the schedule.
